He holds Bachelor of Education from Presbyterian University of East Africa and Diploma in Education from Mount Kenya University, ABRSM GRADE 5 and currently pursuing Diploma in Christian Ministries – School Chaplaincy and Music program by UNISA.

He was ordained into ministry in 2023 in the Anglican Diocese of Nambale, and has previously served the Diocese and community in various capacities including: Teaching, School chaplain, Music trainer and director for various choirs and cathedral music minister and curate.

Rev. Huru is passionate about teaching and school ministry, mentorship and evangelism. He is also very enthusiastic about church music and Anglican worship: developing choirs and praise teams.
