Empowering Clergy and Laity for the Mega Mission
We give thanks for the successful Pre-AMEC Training held in ACK Diocese of Katakwa, in preparation for the upcoming Mega Mission from 13th-17th November 2024. Approximately 568 participants were trained and ready to be commissioned to share the Gospel in their communities. The training, which began with the clergy, was then cascaded to various archdeaconries across the Diocese, equipping them for effective mission and outreach.
We are grateful to Bishop John for creating this opportunity and spearheading the training.
A recent Healthy Church Training event was successfully held at ACK St. Paul's Kanamkemer, Lodwar parish in Turkana, bringing together 46 enthusiastic participants from the local community. Over the course of a week, the training covered a comprehensive range of topics including, finance, stewardship, and church administration. As the participants return to their various ministries, we are excited to see the positive impact that these new skills will have on the Turkana missionary area, empowering leaders to build healthier and more effective churches.
Kitale Diocese Launches Church Planting Movement with Evangelist Training
In a bid to expand its reach and spread the Gospel, the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Kitale has launched a church planting movement. The initiative kicked off with the training of approximately 50 evangelists who will roll out training for church planters at the grassroots level. The ambitious plan aims to plant 140 new churches and double the number of parishes in the diocese. The training was facilitated by Anglican Missions Africa (AMA).
The Healthy Church training program was officially launched by Bishop Dr. Chemengich at the ACK Diocese of Kitale. The diocese is grateful to God for this opportunity to impact the lives of many through the church planting movement. With the training of evangelists underway, the diocese is poised to achieve its goal of planting new churches and increasing its presence in the region.
The Anglican Church in North Africa is growing under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Ball, covering Chad, Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, and Tunisia. Anglican Missions Africa recently facilitated leadership training in Chad to unlock the Diocese’s growth potential.
Exciting news: the Synod has resolved to establish the Mothers’ Union ministry, paving the way for its launch in Chad and North Africa. We are grateful for your prayers and support as we continue making history together!
Over 3,000 evangelists from the Anglican Church of Kenya, along with teams from the USA, UK, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda, gathered in Bungoma County for a major evangelism campaign. The mission, which began with the training of school chaplains, aimed to plant new churches and revitalize struggling ones.
Led by the Holy Spirit, the week-long mission was a powerful demonstration of unity and faith, as participants spread the gospel across the region, leaving a lasting spiritual impact on the Bungoma community.
